Our Facility
Situated on 95 acres and located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our farm offers our horses the space to live comfortably and naturally.
The Barns
The Big Barn
When Lee and Amanda Cone constructed the main barn in 1983, they built it with the horse in mind. Its fifteen 12’X12’ stalls have rubber mats beneath beds of wood shavings, individual (3 prong) fans, outward-facing windows, and yoke stall screens to allow horses to poke their noses out into the wide barn aisle. Other amenities include: four sets of cross ties, a wash rack with hot and cold water, a lockable tack room with a sink, a hay room, and a feed room.
The Small Barn
Reserved mainly for our own personal horses, the Small Barn has 5 regular stalls and 2 broodmare stalls with rubber mats beneath the shavings, two covered aisle-ways with crosstie sets, a tack room, and one uncovered wash rack.
The Pastures
We have of 9 pastures (ranging from 5 to 15 acres) and 1 medical paddock, each enclosed with secure three-board wood fencing. The pastures are planted and cut regularly to assure that there’s plenty to eat within them.
The Ring & Round Pen
The Ring
Our 130’x 275 ring has a mixture of sand and gravel dust footing, a regularly changing course of jumps, and a small, gazebo area with chairs for those who wish to watch.
The Round Pen
Our round pen, surrounded by board fencing, gives us the ability to work with young or problem horses in a smaller, more manageable area.
